Welcome to History's Not Boring by Kidopoly.com with your hosts,
Mira and Finn! Have you ever looked up at the sky and seen a
flying airplane? What if I told you there is a mountain so
gigantic that airplanes actually fly below its peak?! That
mountain is Mount Everest, the tallest mountain on Earth,
standing at a mind-boggling 29,032 feet! For years, dozens of
climbers tried to reach the top, but the freezing winds and scary
heights were just too much. Plus, there is barely any oxygen up
there to breathe! It seemed impossible. But in 1953, two
explorers named Edmund Hillary from New Zealand and Tenzing
Norgay from Nepal teamed up for the greatest climb in history.
Were they super-soldiers? Nope, just two regular guys with
extraordinary courage! Join Mira and Finn as we bundle up in our
thickest snow coats and brave the freezing cold to uncover how
these heroes finally made it to the very top of the world. Can
you guess how long they stayed at the summit after that massive
climb? Only 15 minutes! Hit play to join this icy, action-packed
adventure!
