Welcome back to History's Not Boring by Kidopoly.com! Join your
hosts Mira and Finn as they travel back in time to New Orleans,
Louisiana, in the year 1960! Get ready to meet one of the bravest
kids in American history—a six-year-old girl named Ruby Bridges!
Can you imagine being the very first Black student to attend an
all-white school in the South? That is exactly what Ruby did at
William Frantz Elementary School!

Because some people were very angry about this change, Ruby had
to be escorted into the building by big, tough US Marshals every
single day just to keep her safe! Inside the school, things
weren't much easier. No parents would let their children sit with
her, meaning little Ruby had to eat her lunch all by herself! But
she wasn't completely alone. Her wonderful teacher, Mrs. Henry,
was the only one willing to teach her, and they became a great
team!

Listen in to find out how one brave little girl stood incredibly
tall, faced down giant bullies, and helped change America
forever! You definitely don't want to miss this amazing story of
courage!
