My guest on this episode is John Harris - author,
journalist and Paul Weller Super-fan!
John was a key part of the music press in 90s - working at
Sounds, Melody Maker, NME & Q Magazine before being named
editor of Select.
As a freelance writer John has written about music, politics and
a wide variety of oher subjects for publications such as Rolling
Stone, Mojo, The Independent, and New Statesmen.
He has written many books including "The Last Party: Britpop,
Blair and the demise of English rock"
John has written notes of boxsets of The Jam - including the 40th
anniversary set 1977 along with liner notes
from The Jam: The Studio Recordings an 8LP heavyweight vinyl
box set released in 2013.
October 2021 sees the release of the book - The Beatles : Get
Back - the first official standalone book to be released by The
Beatles since international bestseller The Beatles Anthology.
Edited by John Harris from original conversations between John,
Paul, George and Ringo spanning three weeks of recording,
culminating in The Beatles’ historic final rooftop concert.
