The Madhu Manesar murder case has
shocked Gurugram and Rajasthan. Just months after her marriage,
22-year-old Madhu disappeared — and was later found dead inside a
bathroom in a rented room near Manesar. Police allegations have
placed her husband Ankit Bhagat and
his alleged live-in partner at the centre of the investigation.





But the Madhu murder case raises an uncomfortable question
— have we seen a similar pattern before?





The case has striking thematic parallels with
the Siya Goyal and Ketan Agrawal Lohagad Fort
case, where police alleged that a pre-existing
relationship became central to a murder investigation involving
an impending marriage. Different gender. Different city.
