Two hunters drive into the Appalachian backcountry for one last
weekend before everything changes. On the second morning, a
single shot echoes across the ridge. By noon, the whole town is
searching. By nightfall, the dogs are on the slope.

The two men responsible are still in town.

A psychological horror story about a decision made in under two
minutes, forty yards off a fire road, with no signal and no
witnesses — and the four years that followed. Featuring the
specific dread of a small mountain town closing in, a search
party getting closer every hour, and a father who had one theory
and never stopped moving toward it.

A paranormal horror creepypasta in the true crime tradition.
featuring moral collapse under pressure, the silence of the
Appalachian backcountry, and a guilt that not even a newborn son
can touch.

THE FOOTSTEPS END MID-TRAIL.
