Hinton started to make headlines for becoming a college legend at
Shaw university after becoming a lethal scorer at the D2 level
and gaining interest from NBA teams at the draft 2019. Although
he ended up being undrafted, Amir signed a training camp contract
with the New York Knicks and eventually played for their G-League
team, the Westchester Knicks.
