In cooperation with Verlag Barbara Budrich the academic training
company budrich training, Barbara Budrich – publisher, trainer
and coach – and her team regularly offer free webinars. This is
the basis of the series „PowerSkills for your academic career” as
part of the Budrich-Podcast. Here you find dos and don’ts,
practical tips and tricks to accelerate your career in academia.

In the current episode, you understand that as a non-native
speaker, you are still expected to publish your research and
insights in English. Barbara explains how to best go about this.

What are the implications for your text, your audience and your
goals? Does that mean you have to publish in high-ranked
international journals at all cost? Looking at the various
options, Barbara helps you evaluating the strengths and
weaknesses of your English texts and helps you identify the most
important criteria to take an informed decision as regards the
best publisher or journal for your publications.
