Mary Firestone is a Post Traumatic Growth Expert, has a Masters
in Clinical Psychology, is the Author of a book that has been
such a comfort to me – It is called Trusting The Dawn – How to
Choose Freedom and Joy after Trauma. Mary is an inspirational
speaker, a retreat leader, and a mom of two! She is a shining
example of our soul’s ability to transcend trauma – it is a must
read!

Mary survived the Montecito mudslide in Santa Barbara in 2018,
where 23 people died, 150 people were injured, and a toddler and
a teenage boy were never found. Today we talk about her healing
journey, viewing traumatic events as growth opportunities, we
talk about divine intervention which I also believe saved my
life, psychedelics, viewing life changing events as initiations
into a fuller, more illuminated and joyful life, and the
importance of being intentional about who you surround yourself
with.
