There are quite a few urban legends which survive up to this day
and which most of us consider as unspoken truths. These stories
spread from mouth to mouth without ever being written down. They
only exist in het minds of the people but can be so persistent
that they finally become a part of popular culture. One such
myth of the 90s is the so-called miracle solution for a Gameboy
game console. In case if it started to malfunction, it was
believed that the best solution was to blow air into the contact
hole and everything should work fine again. This may have been a
short term solution but in the long term this action just made
things worse. But still, up to this day this myth continues to
live on… Also in the electronic music scene there are many
stories which tickle the fantasy of a lot of people. And people
consider the parties in the late 70s in Warehouse Chicago as The
Mother Of All House Parties. It seems to have been such an
enormous burst of primal energy when Frankie Knuckles was playing
one of his legendary marathon sets, that the people attending
these events became filled with pure ecstasy and after a while
the people in the crowd ceased to exist as individuals and became
absorbed into one big energetic being, which eventually became so
overpowering that nothing could contain it. This was the start of
a subculture with the name ‘Jack’. And up to know this urban
legend ‘Jack’ still regularly pops up in tracks and mixtapes.
This is one of the most famous myths of the electronic dance
music world. And also this Deep Story from Aio may well
become the stuff of legends, where individuals from all corners
of the world will fuse into one huge ecstatic force. This mixtape
will inevitably inspire many people and we’re pretty sure this
will end up as yet another urban legend…
