I slowly take off my headphone and look the rabble-rouser
straight in the eyes. His sheer presence fills me with
excitement. With the numerous sponsors on his jacket, he looks
like a walking advertising column. A symbol of commercialization
on two legs. After a short silence, he wants to know where my
path leads me today. Before I could conclusively answer the
question, he already put a flyer in my hand and interrupts me. It
does not matter what I plan to do, tonight there would only be
one "place to be". ComRa Events would have once again broken
through the boundaries to the possible and put together a rave of
absolute superlatives. My response to this brazen interruption of
my peace of mind left him speechless , as the only boundaries he
broke were those of my privacy.


I get up and work my way past this walking-talking publicity
banner. He reaches for my hand, pulls up my sleeve and
scrutinizes the capsule on my wrist. Before I can defend myself,
he loosens the grip on my arm and quickly notes something down on
his smartphone. After that he smiles again kindly and informs me
that I always had a lot of fun at the ComRa events. To make him
finally satisfied, I grab a flyer and pretend that I would think
it over again. At the next stop I leave the streetcar a bit
confused.
What was that bizarre encounter and what did the guy write down
in his smartphone? Totally lost in my thoughts, I stroll through
the streets. I had completely lost sight of my real goal.
Actually, I wanted to go partying and enjoy good music today.
