We enter a gray, cool and very functionally furnished building.
One of these typical government buildings. Our goal is clear, but
the way there is confusing. The first inquiry at the reception
was already harshly blocked. The registration of a galley would
have to be applied for at the harbor commandant's office. But
that was not our concern, we are looking for a pass. The
reception would be of little help to us. So we wandered lost as
in a labyrinth through the endless corridors and floors. Cryptic
and well-hidden maps did not provide any enlightening clues. As
we wandered through the corridors, our minds seemed to slowly
dissolve. Doors are no longer where they seem to be, numbers are
no longer in the right order, and the actions of the people in
these walls no longer follow any logical pattern.
Since we want one thing and then the same thing again, the people
here can't figure us out. This sets the sluggish masses into
turmoil and soon there is a hopeless confusion. The old gray
tie-wearers turn into startled chickens and suddenly use everyday
office supplies as creative instruments. The reception hall turns
into a madhouse of colorful sounds and we are right in the middle
of it. Inspiring sounds flood in and we say goodbye to the last
bit of sanity. We let ourselves be carried away and lose
ourselves in this world that no longer seems to follow any known
laws until a voice sounds and asks "What do you actually want? We
just want the A38 pass!
