deep story nr. 128 l deep haiku l by Hekske

For today's podcast, we invited the Flemish mystery artist Hekske
to tell us a musical deep story. The "Bibi Blocksberg" of the
downtempo scene has crafted a dark journey for us and follows in
the footsteps of the Japanese haiku poet Matsuo Bashō. Her
affinity to art, literature and nature is uniquely reflected in
this experimental deep story. Discover the 17th-century Japan
with intriguing melodies which form an unusual combination of
playfulness and melancholy. It’s a tribute to the mystic
knowledge of the ancient masters. As inspiration Hekske served
the following haiku from Bashō.


古池や
蛙飛び込む
水の音
furu ike ya
kawazu tobikomu
mizu no oto
