Shambho Mahadeva Chandra Chuda is a very popular Shiva kirtan
sung by Ishwara in a satsang at Yoga Vidya in Bad Meinberg. It
typically begins very calmly and meditatively and can then be
sung faster and more dynamically with each repetition. Although
Shambho Mahadeva Chandrachuda has many different words, it is
still easy to learn. It contains all the popular names and
epithets of Shiva, and the melody is very catchy.

The Kirtan

Shambho Mahadeva Chandrachuda
Shambho Mahadeva Chandrachuda
Gangadhara Hara Kailasavasa
Pahi Mam Parvati Ramana

Spiritual translation

Oh Shiva, I take refuge in you. Oh Shiva, you give me so much
good (Shambhu). Oh great God, you carry the moon on your head
(love in your mind). You great benefactor, always auspicious,
connected with the divine mother. You carry the Ganga, you take
away all attachments, you dwell on Mount Kailash (can be
experienced in meditation). Oh Shiva, beloved of Parvati, please
protect me.
