“In times like these” (what a hackneyed phrase), it is probably
considered politically incorrect for a European (= Grazer Grant)
to make a split album with a band from the neo-rogue state of the
USA…
But Roadside Memorial from Albuquerque prove with their split
part “La Bajada” that the power of music is far stronger than all
the political monkey business put together. Music helps to endure
the situation and to draw strength.
The musical spectrum of Roadside Memorial ranges from street punk
and 80ies Hardcore Punk to a Gogol Bordello-like mixture of dub,
ska, salsa and punk rock ’n‘ roll.
