This week, Damian sits down with Rev. Megan Madsen from Spokane,
Washington, for an honest, funny, and deeply reflective
conversation about faith, creation, and the new United Methodist
Social Principles — especially the section “Community of All
Creation.” Neither Damian nor Megan are climate scientists —
they’re pastors trying to figure out how faith connects with the
world God made. Together they wrestle with what it means to live in
right relationship with creation, why confession might be a holy
starting point for climate conversations, and how environmental
justice is inseparable from social justice. Their talk takes an
honest detour into American politics and why many U.S. Christians
still struggle to accept human-caused climate change. Megan also
shares how her congregation partners with a church in El Salvador —
and how global corporations like Coca-Cola impact local communities
and their access to clean water. It’s a conversation about faith,
hope, and creation — full of curiosity, laughter, and challenge.
