This is the first english-language episode of the Herztöne /
Battements de coeur podcast, featuring Jane Sandall, a midwife in
the United Kingdom. Jane Sandall is a globally recognized
researcher in sociology of medicine and midwifery, with a focus on
midwife-led care and continuity of care models. She has recently
worked with the National Health Service in England and with the
World Health Organization. In this episode, she explains what are
the benefits of midwife-led continuity of care for women and babies
– but also under what conditions this model can be satisfying for
both women and midwives. Finally, she advocates giving access to
midwife continuity of care to the women who need it most, and
therefore reducing inequalities. This «Herztöne»-episode is the
first in a series about midwife-led care. Cet épisode de
«Battements de coeur» est le premier épisode d'une série consacrée
aux soins périnatals gérés par les sages-femmes. Diese
«Herztöne»-Episode ist Folge 1 einer Serie zur hebammengeleiteten
Geburt. Zur deutschen Zusammenfassung der Episode:
