Ben Schmid ist Management Consultant im Bereich Financial
Services bei PWC. PWC ist eine der Big4-Wirtschaftsprüfungen und
Beratungsgesellschaften und mit 13.000 Mitarbeitern alleine in
Deutschland in verschiedensten Bereichen tätig und eben unter
anderem auch im Blockchain-Space. PWC war einer der
Hauptsponsoren der BLOCKHANCE 2023 und hat hier auch die
Blockchance Impact Awards durchgeführt in denen Start-Ups pitcher
und in 6 Kategorien jeweils 10.000 Euro gewinnen konnten. Hier
war Ben Teil der Auswahljury und genau darüber sprechen wir auch!
Außerdem spreche ich mit Ben über Projekte die PWC im
Blockchain-Bereich durchführt, was eigentlich eine
Kryptoverwahrlizenz ist und wie aufwendig ein solches Projekt
ist, was die Vorteile einer großen Organisation wie PWC sind und
vieles mehr!


Redaktioneller Hinweis: Binance hat den Antrag
auf die Kryptoverwahrlizenz bei der Bafin mittlerweile
zurückgezogen.

Ben Schmid is a Management Consultant in the Financial Services
division at PWC. PWC is one of the Big 4 auditing and consulting
firms and, with 13,000 employees in Germany alone, is active in a
wide range of areas, including the blockchain space. PWC was one
of the main sponsors of BLOCKHANCE 2023 and also held the
Blockchance Impact Awards, in which start-ups could pitch and win
10,000 euros each in 6 categories. Here Ben was part of the
selection jury and that's exactly what we talked about! I also
talked to Ben about projects that PWC is carrying out in the
blockchain sector, what a crypto custody license actually is and
how complex such a project is, what the advantages of a large
organization like PWC are, and much more!
