Diese Band lieferte das Gegenteil von Flower Power und
Hippie-Seligkeit: The Velvet Underground, 1965 in New York
gegründet von Lou Reed und John Cale. Düster, laut, gegen die
Erwartungen von Wohlklang und Harmonie. The Velvet Underground
vertonten den Alltag von Junkies und Prostituierten, von Gosse und
Gewalt. Andy Warhol konnte ihren Klang gut gebrauchen für seine
Vernissagen und Film-Happenings, das berühmte Album mit der Banane
drauf war das Ergebnis. Er hatte ihnen die deutsche Sängerin Nico
dazugestellt, das Ergebnis sind bis heute anziehende, gefährliche
Lieder. Kommerziell nicht erfolgreich, zog das Album zuerst in
