In the hierarchy of language learning, there are the 'haves' and
the 'havenots.' The 'haves' are those that know how to ask for
something. The 'havenot' is that guy over there wildly gesturing,
grunting, pointing and flailing at the laoban. In China, of
course, as a 'have', you may find you can't always get what you
