With ITunes gone, how does that affect DJs?

Instead of the iTunes application, Apple has decided to
curate three separate apps - Apple Music, Apple Podcasts, and
Apple TV.

According to MixMag’s Devyn White: “Apple Music fails to
incorporate XML file support, an organizational component, which
originally made it simple for DJs to transfer data from iTunes to
applications such as Rekordbox and Traktor.”

Without this file support, tracks won't automatically stay
organized in set playlists when imported into these applications.

Serato and Traktor are already releasing beta versions of
software to deal with this, no word yet from Rekordbox.

openers - SF local, DJ BAKR (pronounced “Baker”) and his G-Code
squad.
