2 Incidents When Cristiano Ronaldo Almost Signed For FC Barcelona

It is sort of an unspoken rule that anybody associated with Real
Madrid must loathe Barcelona and vice versa. So we understand it
might be a little shocking to you that Cristiano Ronaldo, one of
the biggest Real Madrid legends, nearly signed for Barcelona not
once but twice.  To be fair, though, the first time happened
way before he was even linked with Real Madrid. In fact, even
before he first moved to Manchester United.   So, the
year was 2003, Ronaldo was still in Sporting CP and FC
Barcelona’s president, Joan Laporta, had just resumed his first
tenure as president. Immediately he was elected, he set in motion
a reconstruction process and started making big signings, you
know, sort of like he is doing now.
