How Good Are Erling Haaland's Cousins?

Erling Haaland is a beast of a player. That has already been
established. The 2020 Golden Boy just moved back to England where
he was born and is having a good start to life at Manchester City
where his father played some 20 years ago.  Erling comes
from a very athletic family, and that sort of explains why he
seems to be built like a machine. 


As you know, his father played professional football for Premier
League teams including Manchester City and Leeds United. His
mother, on the other hand, was a really successful track athlete
in Norway. She was a national champion back in her day. So, it is
not very surprising that a mixture of the genes from those two
produced a sports machine.  


As a child, Erling played golf, handball, tennis, did track and
field, and of course, played football, which he eventually chose
for his career path. When he was just 5 years old, he set a world
record for standing long jump. He recorded a staggering distance
of 1.63 meters which immediately became a world record for kids
in that age category.  Knowing all these things about Erling
Haaland, would it be so shocking to find out that his cousins are
just as good as him? Okay, maybe not just as good, those
standards are so high, but good regardless.  


So, when we said Haaland belongs in a very athletic family, we
meant the extended family. His cousins from his mother’s side are
also really good footballers in their own rights.
