Rama is a god in Hinduism. He is considered the seventh
incarnation of the god Vishnu. He incarnated in the world to
restore righteousness and justice in the world. Rama is often
depicted in paintings or murti (statues) with his wife Sita and
his servant and worshiper, the monkey god Hanuman. In his hands
he holds a bow and arrow, symbolizing that he is ready to kill
the demons (human bad qualities) that want to perpetuate evil in
the world.
