Hanuman is one of the most popular aspects of God in India.
Hanuman, son of the wind, is also called the monkey god. He is
considered an incarnation of Shiva. He is a great devotee of Rama
and Sita, incarnations of Vishnu and Lakshmi.


He symbolizes Dasya Bhava, the love of the devotee, the servant
of God for God as his master. As a monkey, Hanuman represents
that anyone can come to God. As the son of the wind, he is the
patron of pranayama.
