Personal branding is a hot topic in the world of marketing,
social media and entrepreneurship.

Thinking of themselves as a "Brand" or building a brand might
even make some people uncomfortable.

With social media being what it is and the public demand for
greater transparency and access to the decision makers behind the
businesses and brands they support, I prefer to look at "personal
brand" as the reputation that you actively and intentionally
cultivate rather than letting the world decide for you what that
reputation is.
