43: Baobab Community Center – “The new camps will be prisons”

Mohammed Wafayee is the coordinator of the Baoab Community Center
on Samos. And a refugee from Afghanistan with uncertain asylum
status. He knows what it means having to flee one’s home country
and not being able to go back either, as that would mean
near-certain death. He knows what it feels like to be stuck on
Samos, and is - like everyone else - anxious about the
Government’s plans of solving the refugee crisis there. They
might well be a change from bad to worse.
