In this episode of the ZUKO Podcast, Dr. Cornelia Klocker,
Postdoctoral Fellow at Zukunftskolleg, talks with linguist Dr.
Katharina Zahner-Ritter, now Assistant Professor of Phonetics at
the University of Trier, about how she won the Zukunftskolleg’s
Independent Research Grant.


Jun. Prof. Zahner-Ritter investigated how German infants acquire
intonational contrasts in collaboration with the Baby Speech Lab
at the University of Konstanz. We take a behind-the-scenes look
at baby language research at the University of Konstanz and learn
how the grant supported her project. The episode also provides
general insights into the work and independent research funding
of the Zukunftskolleg.
