Our guest today is Elena Kirova, Director of Operations at share.
The company is well known for fast consumer items on your local
supermarket shelves with a positive impact twist. If you buy, for
example, a chocolate bar in Berlin, someone on the planet gets food
for a day financed by your purchase. Like many in the Berlin
ecosystem, Elena gained her first startup experience at a daily
deals platform 12 years ago and worked for e-commerce companies
like fab (one of the first unicorns! ), MONOQI, and Amorelie. In
this journey, she learned what she loves about her work at
startups: dynamics, the power of impact, the speed, and the
ambitions of the teams! But she also discovered what she doesn’t
like at all. Elena shares (pun intended) what people who are new to
the startup world (digital and retail) should consider. How to
search and find purpose. And how to make intentional choices on
what to work on and ask yourself the question about who you want to
become as a human. share, the strongest startup brand of last year
(congrats! ), is a purpose with a company. They want people to
think about consumption. Everything that a customer buys offers the
option to contribute positively to the life of another human being.
And even though share is social, it is still a high-performing
business company since they compete with the big (food) companies.
share is looking for some new sharies as well. 130 "sharies" are
already on board and they are looking for more team members. Check
their job openings and find a lot of hints about what could become
the next category of products or services that get the social share
twist!
