I’m excited to share part two of my interview with Vanessa. In
this segment of our conversation we discuss the importance of
creating space for traditionally feminised skills as we form and
work towards new environments, particularly in public life and
politics. Vanessa is co-founder and director of The Activate
Collective, which champions new voices in UK politics through
funding and training underrepresented female activists.

We discuss the vision behind the movement, the incredible
leadership potential that is born through lived experience, and
the importance of waking up to how gender has, and continues to
affect the potential of our career; something that is impacted by
culture and in policy making.
