AI Ethics - Planet Future

When we think of AI ethics, we tend to have moral dilemmas in
mind, such as those, for example, encountered in autonomous
driving. Companies today use AI for a variety of functions, but
yet hardly any of them are aware of the ethical issues that are
entailed with the technology. Artificial intelligence is already
deeply woven into our entire lives and along with the many
advantages, AI, of course, also carries some notable risk. In
this episode, Dan Jeffries offers us a differentiated perspective
on the topic of AI ethics. He is a futurist, author and
previously worked at Red Hat for more than a decade. In 2019, Dan
joined forces with data science pioneer Pachyderm as Chief
Technology Evangelist and became Director of the 2b AHEAD
Practical AI Ethics Program. In this episode, he mentions several
examples in which the malfunctioning of AI has caused damage, or
even seriously affected people’s lives. Together with Jan Berger,
CEO of 2b AHEAD, he gives his advice on how AI ethics can be
practically implemented and how ethical issues can be tackled.
