er schreibt: Ivory gulls (Pagophila eburnea) are only found in
the high arctic and are the rarest bird species north of
Svalbard. Only about 20 to 30 breeding pairs have recently been
registered in this area. Bird photographers esteem the sight of
this species as valuable as discovering a snow owl.


Deutsch: Elfenbeinmöwen (Pagophila eburnea) sind
nur in der hohen Arktis beheimatet und sind nördlich von
Spitzbergen die seltenste Vogelart. Gegenwärtig sind nur etwa 20
bis 30 Brutpaare registriert.
