Michael Welsch is a mechanical engineer. His approach makes data accountable. A neural network learns to decompose and reconstruct a company's data lake, which it can only do if it learns to model the inner relationships step by step. The AI software is then capitalized on the company's balance sheet as a proxy for the actual data lake. Welsch presented his idea to some auditors and large accounting firms. AI isn't just for the big companies. We found a medium-sized company from the Alpine foothills that is taking an interesting approach to its levelling and tensioning machine. Kohlbacher produces straightening center, sharpening, llevelling and tensioning machines and the owner Siegfried Kohlbacher and his colleague Michael Trumb explain to us why and how they use Industrial AI.
