Security solutions don't sell like hot cakes. At least not as
long as everything is still running smoothly for the customer.
But what if IT security was not a necessary evil, but a state of
zen?
This is precisely the philosophy of Peter Steppe, founder of the
Belgian MSP Wulux.be. He has been pursuing one goal since 2004:
“Keep IT Zen” - in other words, calm and serenity in his
customers' day-to-day IT work. What initially sounds like a
slogan from a mindfulness guide quickly turns out to be a
strategic lever for high-quality managed security services.
History and data analysis are crucial for contract design

Craig Faiers, the commercial director at arcsystems, speaks about
the starting point of their msp journey and how the security
solutions impact their technical and also their sales
organisation.
Craig says, among other things, "When we have more control over
things, and it sounds a little strange that we want control, but
we do that because that means we can move the things that are a
problem. For us, it was all about the people providing the
technology and service to get the topic covered as quickly as
possible and prevent less time".
I hope you enjoy this interview with Craig Faiers and that you
gain some exciting insights.

Even though IT security is a dominant topic in the market, the
relevant growth factors are not obvious. In many cases, the MSP
portfolio for security consists of loose individual services that
have little connection from the customer's point of view. The
conviction to set an appropriate budget for averting risks is also
not a matter of course among the customer target group of system
houses. And thirdly, security services are complex and difficult
for customers to understand. Against this background, system house
coach Olaf Kaiser and his cooperation partner SOPHOS have
undertaken a managed security research journey ("MSP Journey") to
shed light on these questions and to disclose all results
afterwards.
