Max Ghostar: I don’t like to follow rules - I like to break them

Max Ghostar, an experienced and renowned tattoo artist, began his
creative journey at the age of 18, inspired by his father, an
illustrator. Before pursuing tattoo art, Max was a talented
graffiti artist and draws parallels between the different
techniques of the two art forms. His path took him from Peru
through various countries such as Brazil, Germany and Barcelona,
​​before settling in Switzerland six years ago. Interestingly, Max
left Peru to pursue tattooing more intensively and to have the
opportunity to learn from other cultures and techniques. Max
passionately shares his insights on the possible future of tattoo
conventions as well as his preferred gear. Almost 75% of his body
is covered in tattoos, reflecting his deep love and devotion for
tattooing. In his intensive seminars, Max also attaches great
importance to ensuring that his students know as little as possible
in advance in order to learn with a fresh and open perspective. He
