Platten für die Insel: Die Black Crowes mit „Southern Harmony And The Musical Companion“ (1992), repariert

Anfang der 1990er Jahren erfanden die Black Crowes den Rock neu –
aus dem Spirit des Souls. Die Brüder Chris (Gesang) und Rich
Robinson (Gitarre) aus Atlanta, Georgia, erfanden nicht nur den
Südstaatenrock (ZZ Top, Lynard Skynard) neu, sondern den ganzen
Rock, der zuvor zehn Jahre ein kärgliches Dasein als Hair Metal
gefristet hatte. Und lieferten damit eine Alternative zum
ebenfalls erblühenden Grunge – der Neuerfindung des Rocks aus dem
Geiste des Punks. Gerade ist ihr Meisterwerk von 1992 „Southern
Harmony and The Musical Companion“ in nie gehörter Soundqualität
neu erschienen.
