Susannah Martin is an incredible painter, her work is super
realistic but extremely playful at the same time, she works with
the human body, her protagonists are always naked and out in the
countryside, surrounded by animals, air balloons, sweets, toys,
well, it is a pretty surrealist world that Susannah Martin shows us
in her insanely detailed oil paintings. Okay, so I tried to capture
this for you in one long sentence but there is no better way to
understand what I am really talking about than to visit her website
and take a look yourself: www.susannahmartin.de. You can also just
check the shownotes, I put that link in there. Susannah is
originally from New York but lives in Germany for many years,
however, we still did this over the internet and even though the
new platform I’ve been trying out on this one seems to work nicely
and is pretty promising the sound could be better, but I hope you
won’t mind too much, it is a really good talk.
