How do you retrofit an existing plant for a green future? Claus
Homann is responsible for wastewater management in the municipality
of Aarhus in Denmark. Together with Mads Warming from Danfoss, he
converted an existing wastewater treatment plant into one of the
most modern wastewater plants in the world. The Danes invested in
technology: sensors, blowers and frequency converters. This means
that the plant is not very different from other existing wastewater
treatment plants. It is rather the people who have set themselves
the goal of saving energy. In the podcast, Claus reveals how he
achieved this and why German plants can also benefit from it.
