Stephen O'Grady, Principal Analyst & Co-founder I am Stephen O'Grady and I'm an industry analyst with RedMonk. James and I founded the firm in November of 2002, and I've been doing that ever since. Previously, I worked for Keane, Dialogos (now defunct), Blue Hammock, and Illuminata. I have a BA in History from Williams College, and I married a beautiful girl from Middlebury College. I have no preference between Steve and Stephen. Knock yourself out. I live in Freeport, Maine with an office in Portland. Contrary to popular belief, I'm not actually from Boston (though most of my family is). I am, however, a Red Sox fan, born and raised. Rachel Stephens Senior Industry Analyst Rachel Stephens is a Senior Analyst with RedMonk and has been with the firm since 2016. Rachel comes to RedMonk with a wealth of financial experience, and she applies this quantitative lens to her analysis. Her focus is broad (as it is for all of the RedMonk analysts), but she devotes a lot of time to emerging growth technologies. Before joining RedMonk, Rachel worked as a database administrator and financial analyst. Rachel holds an MBA with a Business Intelligence certification from Colorado State University and a BA in Finance from the University of Colorado. She is currently based in Denver, Colorado. KellyAnn Fitzpatrick Senior Industry Analyst KellyAnn Fitzpatrick is a Senior Industry Analyst at RedMonk, the developer-focused industry analyst firm. Having previously worked as a QA analyst, test & release manager, and tech writer, she has experience with platforms, containers, CI/CD, testing frameworks, documentation, and training. She has also taught technical communication to computer science majors at the Georgia Institute of Technology as a Brittain Postdoctoral Fellow and is currently a part-time Research Associate with Georgia Tech's School of Computing Instruction. Holding a Ph.D. in English from the University at Albany and a B.A. in English and Medieval Studies from the University of Notre Dame, KellyAnn's side projects include teaching, speaking, and writing about medievalism (the ways that post-medieval societies reimagine or appropriate the Middle Ages), and running to/from donut shops. Kate Holterhoff Industry Analyst Kate Holterhoff, an industry analyst with RedMonk, has a background in frontend engineering, academic research, and technical communication. Kate comes to RedMonk from the digital marketing sector and brings with her expertise in frontend engineering, QA, accessibility, and scrum best practices. Before pursuing a career in the tech industry Kate taught writing and communication courses at several East Coast universities. She earned a PhD from Carnegie Mellon in 2016 and was awarded a postdoctoral fellowship (2016-2018) at Georgia Tech, where she is currently an affiliated researcher.
