*Disclaimer* In the Field with Ballyraven is a nature
science pseudo-documentary - the content of each episode is
primarily fictitious with bits of real history, places, animal
facts, and environmental knowledge! We aim to encourage
conservation and love for the environment, as well as teach about
folklore through these episodes!
Ballyraven runs the Cryptid Wildlife Protection Agency (CWPA, for
short); this organization is dedicated to:
preserving folklore, documenting encounters, and archiving
strange stories
researching cryptid, supernatural, paranormal, and
mythological creatures
educating the public on cryptid subjects
training members in cryptid wildlife protection, management,
and handling
deploying cryptid field guides and educational pamphlets
improving relationships between all sentient beings
A team of specialized individuals, information and lessons on
cryptid animals, mythological figures, paranormal entities, and
fae cultures are delivered to the public via articles, videos,
field studies, and this podcast.
WHO IS THE BALLYRAVEN?
The Ballyraven is a friendly, eco-conscious bird-type fae with a
special affinity for humans. They founded the Cryptid Wildlife
Protection Agency to save cryptid creatures and their
environments, but have since added to these goals! Befriending
humans and monsters, Ballyraven teaches about conservation and
nature, illustrates what is rarely seen, and loves to make
educational content.
ABOUT IN THE FIELD WITH BALLYRAVEN
In the Field with Ballyraven is a digital archive and traveling
museum that educates the public on cryptids, mythology, and fae
culture - in addition to each's interactions with humans,
relationship with the environment, and how disappearing or
endangered species can be preserved/saved. They have exhibited
collections of artwork, research, and other findings at various
Appalachian festivals, events, and conventions. The archives they
update and maintain are 100% free to the public.
