Raoul Bhatt

Raoul is an accomplished software developer and growing cinematographer. Always a self-starter, he studied countless design books and Internet digital design tutorials, and by the age of 14 was putting his skills to good use creating posters for local nightclubs. At the same time, he was coding thousands of scripts for a variety of businesses. In the years since, Raoul has combined his design and coding skills and has created a winning formula that’s allowed him to win contracts with companies like Twitter, Yahoo, Bosch, Edmonton Oilers, Booster Juice, Crystal Glass, Edmonton Eskimos, Calgary Flames, Wrestlemania, Northlands Park, Carlton University, Edmonton Police Service (plus Alberta's 14 other police agencies), among others. Raoul’s software was used during the live event surrounding President Obama's inauguration in 2009. In 2015, Raoul rolled out one of the most-advanced Customer Relationship Systems for SMS on the market today. The technology is used daily by GoAuto, AutoCanada and Canada One, a significant players in Western Canada’s automotive industry with $7B in annual sales combined. Raoul’s first company FireText was an international success, #1 in the “text to screen” technology that enjoyed wide-spread usage in stadiums, nightclubs, even with artists like Mark Anthony and Fall Out Boy in the pre-social media era. In 2005, FireText was hired as the text to screen provider for the Superbowl and used on location on 60 giant screens at MET Life Stadium in New Jersey to entertain hundreds of thousands of fans. Raoul is an unrelenting supporter of his hometown, helping to place YEG on the map as a tech hub and contributing his time and energy to any number of charitable organizations. In 2010 he developed the Special Olympics Canadian National Games brand that was used across Canada and recently helped the United Way’s Tools for Schools initiative during the Charlie Hebdo attacks.
