067: "Common misconceptions on psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy" with Alexander Faubel & Alistair Langer

There is no other therapeutic intervention in the world that even
comes close to achieving the same results in treating PTSD as
MDMA-assisted psychotherapy. 


Previous models (psychotropic drugs + therapy) for PTSD achieve a
30% improvement rate in patients, whereas current studies of MDMA
therapies show an almost 70% cure rate. These facts are a
remarkable recommendation for a medicine that has never been
widely available to humans and can be used very efficiently to
alleviate mental health suffering. 


The market for psychedelics will most likely grow extremely fast
in the next few years and there will be more and more
opportunities to work with these medicines. My concern is that
people will fall for "healing promises" and the absolutely most
important part will be overlooked. The integration work.


So today I would like to share with you a podcast in which I was
interviewed on the topic of "Common Misconceptions On Psychedelic
Assisted Psychotherapy" by Alistair Langer. 


In as much as we both are strong proponents of the inherent
wisdom of psychedelics and both are very grateful for the impact
working with these plants has had during our own healing

wisely!

The medicine is but a catalyst. You need to do the work.

Be aware – set, setting, dose make a huge difference.

It’s all about the integration in your everyday life.
