Greg Lambrecht: The inventor of Coravin

This podcast episode makes me proud. I had the great honor to talk to the inventor of Coravin. Greg Lambrecht understands a little German, but it wasn't enough for an episode in our native language. That's why you hear the first English episode in the “Winzer talk” podcast today. Since wine drinkers are generally considered to be very educated, I am now simply assuming that this will not be a problem for you.

Greg Lambrecht has succeeded in bringing the greatest wine innovation of our time onto the market. A tool with which we don't have to uncork wine in order to be able to taste it. Instead, we pierce the cork with a thin hollow needle and thus transport the wine into our glass. With a simultaneous gas exchange of argon gas, the noble drop remains protected from oxidation and can continue to mature in the bottle. An ingenious invention that allows us to regularly taste a sip of wine without having to choose the whole bottle.
