Every kind of incineration destroyes valueable materials. The production of this materials often needs a lot of energy. With recycling, you can avoid a new production without its energy consumption. Waste- combustion is a garanty for a high energy demand, so that in the total energy bilance their is no gain of energie by using incinerators. Kryo- recycling for plastics and e- waste is an alternative.
