With a hot and busy month of July behind us, it is once again time for our zero" crew picks. For our crew picks each member of our team selects his five favourite tracks of the past month. One of us then applies his best mixing and editing skills to fit as many of these tracks as possible into a one hour mix - not an easy task but one that should guarantee a nicely varied selection of great music. This time around mixing duties have been taken over by our store manager Philipp, a gifted DJ and producer of exquisite house music tunes in his secret second life. Unsurprisingly his mix therefore leans towards the house music side of things. Highlights include must-have new tracks by Âme, Soul Clap and Kris Wadsworth, while diversity is ensured by Peverelist's new single and Shakleton's brilliant revamp of Moderat's 'Rusty Nails', which has finally seen a proper digital release this month. Fresh new talent is featured with tracks by live techno-jazz crew Brandt Brauer Frick and Swedish shooting star MRSK, but the old school is done justice as well with Mood II Swing and the classic 'Let Your Body Talk' by Ace & The Sandman (a.k.a. Virgo) as a lovely closing track. [ More ]
